Unseen Crash Course
A year in, and still not sure what good close reading looks like? Or still unable to produce consistently good close reading? This crash course is designed to impart critical close reading skills, that can be applied instantaneously and systematically. I'll share some crucial close reading tips that top students use, and field all the questions you have about what the examiners are looking for.
Each session lasts 2.5 hours.
Session A: Theory of Close Reading and Unseen Prose / Drama
Session B: The Art of Unseen Poetry Comparison and Understanding Poetry
Suitable for both J1 and J2 students.
As part of the package, I will be offering detailed feedback for any close reading work that you submit.
SEA History: A Crash Course
Does Southeast Asian history intimidate you? Not sure how to approach essay questions, or even understand content? These lessons are designed to demystify the study of Southeast Asian history. Master the conceptual arc of SEA History, and gain a targeted understanding of the necessary case studies. I'll also cover a variety of essay types during the sessions in order to familarise you with any potential type of A Level question.
